Incredible washer

We bought our washer last month because our old one died out, So my wife picked the Maytag front load washer, she liked the look and design and also the ability to find local service contractors, unlike some other brands who cannot find any local dealers.It does an incredible job cleaning all materials you put in it and it handles some big loads, the only thing you have to get use to is how to turn it on and how to run it, 321 will explain a lot to new users lol, I highly recommend it

Worked for 3 months now I'm going to a laundromat

We have been using this new washer for about 3 months and the drum just stopped spinning. It makes a grinding noise then obviously nothing happens. Under warranty a service center sent a technician only to tell us that 3 major mechanical components needed to be replaced. Go figure... One of the parts is on national backorder. At this point it's almost been 2 weeks now that the washer is down and we could wait another week just to see if the part can be located. National backorder is a good sign that this could be a known issue and we're not the first to have it. Our new washer has very quickly become a refurbished washer and I didnt get the feeling that customer service was very simpathetic with our concern. Take the chance of you want, but if you pay good money for a product that only last a couple months, then I don't think you've gotten what you paid for.

Don't Waste your Money

Worst customer service I have ever encountered! We have a new maytag washer (MHW6630HW) that needs a new motor after 3 months of use. The part is currently on backorder internationally and we've gone without a washer for 3 weeks now. The subcontracted repair person called Maytag's support line only to hear them say try this but if that doesn't work the drum will need replaced. Maytag is clueless on the repair and just guessing at this point. The consumer support has no remorse for their products being complete junk. I will never purchase another product from this company again.

I bought this washer a couple weeks ago because I loved my previous Maytag Front Loader, however I am disappointed with my new washer. It does not have a light which make it difficult to see if you missed any clothes in the washer and the door does not reverse which makes it awkward to use and we had to go to a lot of extra work to get it to work in the space I have. I preferred the controls on the top like they were on my old washer. It does give you more options as far as washing and does a good job cleaning and spinning out the laundry. I would recommend it with some notices to certain features.

It's a Maytag!

We bought this about 1 month ago at RCS in Vincennes, IN. We had a Maytag previous to this one. A lot more settings on this model that probably will never be used. Alas, it's a Maytag. Biggest complaint is that my laundry basket will not fit under the door. I'm use to sliding basket right up to dryer and removing clothes.

I have had nothing but trouble with this washing machine since it was purchased. All cycles end with a wet, wet load. Extra cycle of drain and spin is necessary. Leaky heap

Bought this 4 months ago and it leaks had service out multiple times and the only answer I got from Maytag is use less soap only need 2 tablespoons of he soap but hey that helps but when I run the afresh tabs to clean the unit it leaks too. Do you want me to cut the tablets in half too. Here's an idea one engineer to another design a fix. Number one the unit says use he soap only there is a max fill line in the drawer, so it would determine that it has been tested with the maximum amount of He soap in it and did not leak right. Won't be buying another Maytag since now I am spending $600 on adding a drain under my washing machine haven't needed one in 40 years but hey it's a Maytag and thanks for the extra power button can't use it or guess what it leaks thru the air vent

Quiet and Easy to Operate

I purchased this washer and pedestal to go with the matching Maytag gas dryer and pedestal. Besides being nice looking, its controls are so easy to use unlike some other machines I've seen. It's also so much quieter than my old washer. My laundry room is on the second floor and my old washer would vibrate and make so much noise. I've already washed some very bulky items, and it's done a great job. I'm very pleased with this washer and would highly recommend Maytag.

Bought a washer and dryer pair that were made in America as we wanted something that was made here in the UAS. They looked like good heavy duty units so we made the purchase. Had an issue with the washer as it keeps telling us there is a problem with water flow when we use warm or hot water. Works fine with cold. Called Lowes and they swapped out the washer which was great however the new one does the same as the old one did. I have had my water checked and its fine. Called Maytag about the issues we are having. They said they would find a repair man and send him over. Five days later I get an email saying they do not have anyone to repair it in my area and told me to find someone as long as the repair does not cost over $150. I have to foot the bill and then wait to be reimbursed by the company at some point in the future. I would not buy these units unless you want a headache.

There have been a couple of glitches but as they say it was 'user error'. I like how little detergent is needed, how quiet the machine, even at the highest spin.
